The Black Country Museum |
Horse power galloped
in to the Black Country Living Museum, in the West Midlands,
as transport from a bygone era returned to the site in 2005.
Heavy horse and various horse-drawn vehicles clattered along
the cobbled streets and helped to recreate the atmosphere of
a Victorian town. The event was covered by BBC and is still featured
on their Black Country website. As well as a report of the event,
there is a gallery of photographs, a video interview with one
of the heavy horse owners who took part, and even a section where
visitors can post their comments about heavy horses. See the BBC's report on the Museum's Heavy Horse Day >>> |
