Description: Lupines are perennial or sometimes annual herbs which can be recognised by their finger-like narrow leaves and tall spikes of flowers. The flowers are pea-like, and can be of almost any colour especially if they have escaped from gardens. Wild lupins are more likely to be blue or purple. The flower during the summer (typically June to August) after which the develop pea-like pods. |
